What is Inception?

InceptionLRT is a DeFi platform that offers an all-encompassing solution for liquid restaking within the Eigenlayer ecosystem. The platform introduces a novel approach by combining both Native and Isolated Liquid Restaking mechanisms, making it the first of its kind. InceptionLRT v2 is designed to simplify the restaking process, allowing users to engage with liquid restaking in a more streamlined, secure, and user-friendly manner.

How Does Restaking Work on Inception?

The restaking process on the InceptionLRT project offers an advanced method for users to maximize the efficiency and yield of their staked assets across multiple networks while still maintaining liquidity and security.

Restaking

Restaking allows users to leverage their staked assets (such as ETH or Liquid Staking Tokens, LSTs) to support validation across multiple networks. This approach improves capital efficiency by enabling assets to participate in securing the Ethereum network while also being utilized in other validation services (AVS) via EigenLayer.
  • Asset Selection: After connecting their wallet to the InceptionLRT dApp, users select the Liquid Staking Tokens (LSTs) or ETH they wish to restake.
  • Restaking Method: Users choose their preferred restaking method through the InceptionLRT dashboard. They can enter the amount they wish to restake and initiate the process by clicking "Restake."
  • Approval: Users need to approve the custom spending cap for Inception in their wallet, which involves confirming the transaction to restake the assets.
  • Issuance of Restaking Tokens: Upon successful restaking, users receive Liquid Restaking Tokens (LRTs) or Isolated Liquid Restaking Tokens (iLRTs), depending on the type of asset restaked. These tokens can be added to the user’s wallet and used for further DeFi activities.

Unstaking

If users wish to unstake their assets, they can choose between a standard unstake or a Flash Unstake, depending on their liquidity needs:
  • Standard Unstake: This process can take up to 15 days. Users need to manually claim their assets from the Inception Dashboard once the unstaking is complete.
    • Unstake Process:
      • Select the LRT from the Inception App.
      • Under the "Unstake" tab, enter the amount to be unstaked.
      • Choose the "Standard Unstake" option.
      • Confirm the unstaking transaction in the wallet.
      • Wait for the "Unstake in Progress" message to change to "Unstake Successful!" before continuing to the dashboard.
  • Flash Unstake: For immediate liquidity, users can use the Flash Unstake feature, which allows instant conversion of restaked assets back to their original state. This process incurs dynamic fees based on the liquidity available in the pool.
