Pendle Finance

What is Pendle?

Pendle is a permissionless yield-trading protocol designed to give users control over their yield in decentralized finance (DeFi). It allows users to execute strategies for managing and maximizing yield by tokenizing yield-bearing assets. Here's how it works:
Yield Tokenization: Pendle wraps yield-bearing tokens into standardized yield tokens (SY), compatible with the Pendle AMM. SY tokens are then split into principal tokens (PT) and yield tokens (YT), separating the yield from the principal, allowing users to trade or manage each component independently.
Pendle AMM: Both PT and YT can be traded on Pendle’s Automated Market Maker (AMM). Users can increase their yield exposure in bull markets or hedge against downturns by trading these tokens.
vePENDLE: Pendle also brings traditional finance (TradFi) interest derivative markets into DeFi, creating opportunities to earn fixed yields, speculate on yield increases, or provide liquidity with yield-bearing assets like stETH. By allowing advanced yield strategies, Pendle offers flexible yield management tools for users to optimize returns.
In summary, Pendle gives users full control of their yield by offering tokenized yield-bearing assets and a decentralized market for managing these assets.
