Ethos Labs

Ethos is an emerging Layer 1 blockchain designed to enhance security for other blockchain systems by leveraging Ethereum's economic security. It does this by integrating with Ethereum and utilizing its stake through a mechanism known as restaking. Ethos allows Ethereum validators to delegate their stake to node operators on its network, providing enhanced security to both Ethos and connected ecosystems like the Cosmos network. This model enables smaller or emerging blockchains to benefit from Ethereum's robust security infrastructure without having to build it independently.

Ethos primarily secures Cosmos chains by acting as an Active Validated Service (AVS) on EigenLayer. Validators restake their ETH through EigenLayer and delegate it to Ethos Guardians, who help secure the Cosmos ecosystem. By doing so, Ethos extends Ethereum's security features to Cosmos, ensuring a reliable validation and security process for the entire network.
