What is Adrastea Finance?

Adrastea is a composable DeFi protocol built on Solana designed to simplify and offer access to advanced yield-generating strategies. Its primary goal is to provide high-yield opportunities with a focus on "real yields and rewards" for both individual users and other protocols looking to optimize their treasury holdings.
The protocol operates through two main mechanisms:
  1. Leverage JLP:
      • This mechanism introduces JLP, an index token that serves as the primary asset for leveraged strategies.
      • Users can deposit either JLP or USDC (a stablecoin), depending on their individual risk appetite.
      • With a "one-click" approach, users can start earning yield.
      • The strategy utilizes single-asset lending and provides a predefined leverage boost specifically for JLP depositors, aiming to maximize their returns while keeping the process straightforward.
  1. Liquid Restaking:
      • This mechanism introduces LRT (Liquid Restaking Tokens).
      • Adrastea's initial LRT offering is lrtsSOL (liquid delegated sSOL).
      • By restaking assets with Adrastea, users can unlock the liquidity of their AVS (Actively Validated Services) delegations.
      • The protocol aims to ensure the best possible yield and benefits for users by intelligently routing their AVS delegations to optimize returns.
In essence, Adrastea positions itself as a user-friendly platform for accessing complex DeFi strategies on Solana, catering to those who want amplified yields without active management, and to protocols seeking to generate additional returns from their assets.

How does Restaking Work on Adrastea Finance?

Adrastea Finance's restaking mechanism operates as a gateway to the Solayer ecosystem, focusing on securing Actively Validated Services (AVSs) and maximizing user yield and liquidity.1
Here's how restaking works on Adrastea:
  1. Gateway to Solayer: Adrastea operates as a Liquid Restaking Token (LRT) protocol built on top of Solayer. This means it acts as the primary interface for users to access and participate in Solayer's restaking ecosystem.
  1. Securing Actively Validated Services (AVSs): The core function of restaking on Adrastea is to secure AVSs. These are decentralized services or protocols that require economic security from restaked assets. Adrastea achieves this through "smart delegation," implying an optimized process for allocating restaked capital to these AVSs.
  1. Deposit Native SOL: When a user wishes to restake, they deposit their native SOL (Solana's cryptocurrency) into the Adrastea protocol.
  1. Minting lrtsSOL: In return for the deposited SOL, Adrastea mints a specific LRT token called lrtsSOL. This token is minted at a defined swap rate, which reflects the value of the underlying staked SOL and any accrued rewards.
  1. Unlocking Liquidity and Amplifying Yield: The lrtsSOL token provides two key benefits:
      • Liquidity: It unlocks the liquidity of the user's AVS delegations. This means users can still use their lrtsSOL in other DeFi applications on Solana even while their underlying SOL is restaked and contributing to the security of AVSs.
      • Amplified Yield and Rewards: By participating in restaking, users are able to earn additional yields and rewards from the AVSs they are helping to secure, on top of their regular staking rewards. Adrastea aims to ensure the "best possible yield and benefits" through its smart routing of AVS delegations.
In essence, Adrastea simplifies the process of restaking SOL to secure AVSs on Solayer, providing users with a liquid token (lrtsSOL) that amplifies their earning potential while maintaining flexibility.9

Overview of Adrastea Finance’s Restaking/Liquid Restaking Token —
lrtsSOL
lrtsSOL

lrtsSOL
lrtsSOL
is a liquid restaking token (LRT) on Adrastea, representing a user’s restaked position in Solayer with delegation to AVS.
It serves as a receipt token while enabling users to “restake” or “reuse” their SOL via Solayer without locking their restaked assets. This ensures liquidity while maximizing capital efficiency.
Users can deposit native SOL and receive lrtsSOL on Adrastea, securing both staking and restaking rewards. Technically, lrtsSOL represents a user's yield bearing SOL means that the value of this LRT token increases relative to the underlying asset; rewards are reflected in the price of lrtsSOL.
