Stablecoin Yields: Compare APY Across DeFi Protocols and Chains

Where stablecoins earn: the current APY on every tracked lending market, vault, liquidity pool and staking position, largest pools first. Rates update every six hours and include the rewards split when a protocol publishes one, so you can compare the best yield for USDC, USDT and DAI. 94 stablecoins have a tracked pool, on 63 chains across 284 protocols. Each row also carries a yield-quality layer: whether the return is organic base yield or incentive-driven reward tokens, and how stable the APY has been against its own 30-day average.

Stablecoin yields, explained

What are stablecoin yields?

Stablecoin yields are the annualised returns paid on stablecoin deposits, in lending markets like Aave or Compound, in vaults and yield-bearing wrappers, on liquidity pools or through staking. They are quoted as an APY (annual percentage yield) for the coin and protocol that offers them, and where a protocol pays extra incentive tokens on top of the base rate, that split appears as a rewards APY.

How are stablecoin interest rates determined?

Most stablecoin lending rates are set by supply and demand inside each market: the more a protocol's stablecoin vaults are borrowed against their deposits, the higher the rate rises. Liquidity-pool yields come from trading fees plus the pool's share of protocol token emissions, while reward APYs are promotional programmes the protocol can raise or cut at any time. Rates therefore move daily, which is why every row on this page carries the current snapshot.

What is a yield-bearing stablecoin?

A yield-bearing stablecoin carries income into its own unit rather than paying a separate deposit rate: the token's value slowly accrues (sUSDe, sUSDD) or it rebases into new units (rUSDY) as the backing earns interest. The APY is then priced into the token itself, so a holder earns by simply holding. The per-coin yields pages list these alongside the lending and staking rates you deposit to earn. USDS does not rebase: its savings wrapper, sUSDS, accrues instead.

Is stablecoin yield safe?

No yield is risk-free, and stablecoin yield is not the same risk class as the coin's peg. The headline APY can include promotional reward tokens that change in value; the underlying protocol can have smart-contract, liquidation or counterparty risk; a liquidity-pool position exposes you to impermanent loss; and the coin itself can depeg. High reward APYs in particular are usually a marketing number, not a guarantee.

Which stablecoin has the highest yield?

It changes week to week, because both the base rates and the reward programmes a protocol runs move constantly. The table above ranks pools by TVL by default. Sort the APY column to see the highest rates first, and open a coin's yields page to see where its best rate is offered right now.

How does DIA classify yield quality?

Every row carries two derived tags. The source tag splits the headline APY into the base rate and reward incentives: a pool is classified as organic when less than 20% of its APY comes from reward incentives, incentive-driven when more than 80% does, and mixed in between. A liquidity-pool position, or any pool flagged with impermanent-loss risk, is never organic: it is tagged "LP fees · IL risk" instead (pools led by reward incentives keep their incentive tag and add an IL risk badge). The stability tag compares the current APY to its own 30-day trailing average: it is stable when today's rate sits within ±50% of that average, volatile when it has drifted further. A pool without the data to classify its source or stability carries no badge for that tag.
