Hello Evmos: DIA’s Oracles are live in the EVM Hub on Cosmos

DIA is excited to announce that its open-source oracles are integrated into the Evmos Mainnet, to enable DeFi development for builders on Evmos, the EVM compatible Hub on the Cosmos network.

Hello Evmos: DIA’s Oracles are live in the EVM Hub on Cosmos

Introducing Evmos

Evmos is an application-agnostic chain built with the Cosmos SDK that will be interoperable with Ethereum, EVM-compatible environments, and other BFT chains via the Inter Blockchain Communication protocol (IBC). This allows Evmos users and developers to easily interact between blockchains within the Cosmos ecosystem.

Evmos enables Ethereum native dApps to be easily deployed on Evmos and interact with other Cosmos chains. This allows developers to access all Ethereum tools and features while still benefiting from Tendermint’s Proof of Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism. As Evmos is built on top of the Cosmos SDK, it will be able to exchange value with the rest of the Cosmos Ecosystem through the IBC protocol.

DIA oracle infrastructure integration on Evmos

We are delighted to announce that DIA has integrated its open-source oracle infrastructure with Evmos, running in the Cosmos ecosystem. The oracle deployment makes it easy for smart contracts deployed within the Cosmos ecosystem to connect to the outside world data via DIA’s trusted oracles.

Thanks to Evmos’ Ethereum compatibility, DeFi applications can seamlessly be deployed on the Evmos network, where DIA will be able to feed them with accurate and transparent market data. This will allow DIA to power dApps on Evmos with a number of use cases including stablecoins, staking rewards, yield aggregators, DEXs, and many more.

DIA crowd-sources price data at a very granular level directly from off-chain and on-chain sources.

With DIA’s infrastructure deployment, dApps on Evmos will have access to 6k+ digital asset price feeds, 20k+ traditional asset price feeds, and a range of lending rates, FX rates and other data feeds. This will enable Evmos to support a wider range of applications beyond DeFi, to cater to Evmos’ growing ecosystem demands.

Instead of relying on premium data providers, DIA crowd-sources price data at a very granular level directly from off-chain and on-chain sources. This open-source approach enables DIA to provide unique price feeds, fully customizable in computational methodologies, data sources and more. This approach enables DIA to cater to any specific data and asset needs a project might have and also provides users with full transparency about how the data feeds are constructed.

“We are very excited to enter the Evmos ecosystem and make DIA’s data and oracle infrastructure available for builders. With the Evmos mainnet, builders can start developing DeFi applications based on reliable open-source and transparent data feeds. DIA’s broad set of data feeds will power a broad array of Web3 use cases such as DEXs, staking, stablecoins, yield protocols, lending and much more.”

Test the DIA demo oracle on the Evmos EVM chain by interacting with the following oracle smart contact:

Note: DIA Demo Oracle contracts are not intended to be integrated into dApps. DIA deploys dedicated contracts for dApps, please request a dedicated oracle. Learn more about DIA demo oracles on the DIA Documentation.
