Community AMA, June 2025
Here is a recap of the June 2025 Community AMA, a session where the DIA Team answers community questions and suggestions in the DIA Telegram Community Chat.

DIA recently hosted a highly anticipated AMA session with the core team, aimed at fostering direct communication with our community.
This AMA, held on June 3rd, 2025, featured Anze Noc, DIA’s Community Lead, Dillon Hanson, Head of BD, and Carl Bruns, Co-Founder and CMO. Let’s dive into the key highlights from this edition of the community AMA.
When is Genesis staking unlocking, and how will it work?
Genesis staking was DIA’s first step toward activating token utility and engaging long-term supporters ahead of the Lumina mainnet launch. The pool filled quickly and marked a strong community response. Thank you to everyone who participated.
Genesis staking ends on June 9 at 2 PM UTC. Your staked principal will be claimable on Ethereum, while accrued staking rewards will be claimable on Lasernet, DIA’s rollup. We’ll airdrop a small amount of DIA on Lasernet to all eligible wallets to cover claim gas fees. No action needed until then.
We’ll share a clear guide on how to unstake and claim rewards on the day of the unlock.
I joined Genesis Staking. Should I bridge my DIA rewards back to Ethereum after claiming?
DIA mainnet staking will begin shortly after the Genesis staking ends. So if you want to participate in that, we recommend keeping your DIA on Lasernet as mainnet staking will happen on Lasernet. If you want to stake again, bridging back would create extra steps and fees. If you don’t plan to participate in mainnet staking, you can withdraw your DIA to Ethereum mainnet. Note that bridging from Lasernet back to Ethereum includes a 7-day “challenge period” so it will take up to 7 days to receive your DIA on Ethereum mainnet.
What can you share about mainnet staking? When does it go live?
Mainnet staking wills begin shortly after Genesis ends. It’ll feature an attractive APY, and will be more flexible compared to the Genesis staking. This means no lockups, just a 7-day cooldown period when unstaking.
But more importantly, this isn’t just another staking program: DIA’s mainnet staking will play a key role in our broader ecosystem strategy, helping us strengthen ties with chains, support builders, and reinforce the infrastructure we’re rolling out across multiple networks.
We’ll be sharing more details soon and are happy to unveil all the amazing partners for our staking launch.
I noticed that DIA Bridge is live in the DIA App. Can I already use it and what is its purpose?
Yes, the DIA Ethereum ↔ Lasernet bridge is already live and ready to use: https://www.diadata.org/app/bridge/
In order to participate in mainnet staking you will need to have your DIA bridged to Lasernet. If you don’t plan to participate in mainnet staking, there’s no need for you to bridge DIA to Lasernet.
Here’s some FAQ on the bridge::
- Bridging from Ethereum to Lasernet takes ~10 minutes
- Bridging back to Ethereum takes 7 days (challenge period)
- You’ll need a small amount of DIA + ETH for gas, bridging in both directions.
- The interface is simple to use and will guide you through each step
We’ll also publish a short guide closer to launch to help you through the process.
What has DIA been focused on since the Lumina mainnet launch?
Since Lumina went live, we’ve been laying the groundwork for the next chapter of DIA, both on the product side and across the broader ecosystem.
On the technical front, we’ve continued refining the architecture, integrating new asset types and simulation models, and finalizing the infrastructure for staking. Lumina has been deployed on several networks, including Arbitrum, Optimism, and Somnia testnet, with early oracle integrations already underway.
We’ve also welcomed new data feeders into the network, overhauled our documentation for improved developer experience, and expanded the team with new hires in engineering, business development, and project management to support our growth.
Most notably, we’ve seen a sharp uptick in oracle integration interest from both chains and dApps. A number of new deployments are already in the pipeline, and we’re excited to reveal these publicly in the weeks ahead.
What can we expect in the near future?
Staking marks just the beginning of a much larger rollout.
In the coming weeks and months, we’ll be introducing a number of initiatives closely tied to our product and ecosystem roadmap. These include:
- New integrations with L1 and L2 chains, as well as dApps actively building with DIA oracles
- Expanded support for real-world assets through our xReal suite (RWA 2.0)
- An upgraded randomness offering designed for broader use cases (Randomness 2.0)
- A new Oracle Builder interface aimed at making oracle creation easier and more intuitive for developers
- Continued focus on building a fully permissionless, cryptographically robust oracle infrastructure
And that’s just the surface. We’re gearing up for a year of continuous innovation, with several major product developments still under wraps.
Lastly, we’ll be releasing a new community-facing resource tomorrow. Can you guess which niche we’re stepping into next?
Will the DIA team be attending any upcoming conferences?
Yes! The team will be heading to EthCC in Cannes at the end of June. We’ll also be hosting a new edition of Infra Gardens, our flagship event focused on bringing together the leading players in Web3 infrastructure.
We’ve already onboarded several top-tier partners for this edition and are excited to reveal more details soon. If you’re attending EthCC, come say hi. We’d love to connect in person.
