Aggregator figure, not a contract read. DIA’s own onchain supply is the separate series below.
Percentage change in GUSD's circulating supply as reported by DeFiLlama, measured against that source's own past. It is not a change in the onchain supply above, which DIA reads from the contracts directly and which is a different measurement of the same coin. A dash means the map has no reading close enough to the start of the window, a stretch inside it where supply was not reported at all, or a starting figure too small for a percentage to describe. Hover a dash for which.

GUSD is a dollar stablecoin issued by Gemini Trust Company. It is the Gemini exchange's fiat-backed stablecoin.
Gemini is a US trust company chartered by the New York State Department of Financial Services, and has been NYDFS-regulated since 2018. GUSD is issued under that trust company licence. The issuer's dollar page states the coin is backed one-to-one by US dollars.
The token is deployed on Ethereum per the verified contract set DIA holds.

GUSD is fiat-backed. What the issuer states is a one-to-one dollar reserve held for the issued coin, with the Gemini dollar transparency surface published. The issuer states it pays out monthly attestations of cash reserves, with BPM LLP named as the attestor.
This page reports the issuer's disclosure and marks that transparency home. The honest statement is a NYDFS-chartered trust company issuing a fiat-backed dollar coin with a named attestor and cadence.
What DIA reads regardless. Supply is read from contract state on the chains DIA indexes.

The verification question for GUSD is whether the stated dollar reserve is corroborated by a current dated independent attestation. The issuer names a monthly attestation cadence and an attestor, and this page does not assert a tier beyond what the evidence pull has confirmed for this snapshot.
The coin was an early regulated stablecoin, so its holder and volume profile has had time to change. Supply is read from the Ethereum leg of the onchain record as of the 2026-08-05 snapshot.

DIA reads GUSD supply from contract state on the chains it indexes. That is proof of onchain supply, and the fiat backing GUSD claims is reported as the issuer states it.
