ℹ Overview of CrossFi Chain
CrossFinanceis a unique and advanced ecosystem that tackles key problems by speeding up processes, securing data, and reducing transaction costs. The foundation of the entire ecosystem, which allows the implementation of all DeFi products, is Cross Finance’s blockchain -CrossFi Chain.
CrossFi Chain is a layer 1 blockchain with a modular architecture. It consists of two integral parts, Cosmos and EVM. Each part is responsible for its specific functionality, completely synchronized as a single organism.
Due to this, CrossFi Chain combines the advantages of Cosmos Tendermint and Ethereum Virtual Machine, allowing it to be maximally functional, scalable, and interoperable:
- Unlimited scaling opportunities
- High throughput. The peak load can reach 1 million operations per second
- 5 seconds block time with the possibility of reduction to 1 second
At the core of the CrossFi Chain, there are two native coins:
- Mint power ($MPX)is a unit of computing power in the CrossFi Chain required to generate new $XFI coins on the network. It is also a means of paying transaction fees in the Cosmos part of the blockchain.
- CrossFi ($XFI)is a liquid asset that will open access to all products and services of the EVM part of the CrossFi Chain and gives unique opportunities in theCrossFi xAPP.It is also a means of payment and fiat funds in theCrossFi APP.
The Cosmos-based part of CrossFi is responsible for consensus, production, and verification of blocks, transaction creation, and new coin emissions. It's developed based on:
- Tendermint core
- Cosmos SDK
Responsible for interacting with smart contracts and deploying decentralized applications, products, and services. The EVM part is based on:
- Ethermint
- Evmos
