What is Flux?

Flux is a decentralized Web3 cloud infrastructure comprised of user-operated, scalable and globally distributed computational nodes.
The Flux Ecosystem offers a range of decentralized computing services and blockchain-as-a-service solutions designed to provide developers with an interoperable and decentralized development environment similar to AWS (Amazon Web Services). At the core of the ecosystem is a native Proof-of-Work (POW) coin that fuels various aspects of the platform, including incentivizing hardware hosters, enabling on-chain governance, and mitigating bad actors through staking requirements.

Operating on top of Linux, the Flux operating system ensures verified and benchmarked high-availability compute power for the network. By leveraging blockchain technology, Flux guarantees transparency in governance operations, ensuring that decisions are made openly and democratically.
Node operators within the Flux ecosystem have the flexibility to choose from three tiers of hardware requirements to contribute to the network. To participate, operators must provide the necessary Flux capital, which is soft-locked in their wallet. This setup enables individuals from anywhere in the world to be rewarded for providing hardware resources to the network, democratizing access to participation and rewards.
