ℹ️ Introduction To Unit Zero Testnets
Unit Zero operates across two core environments:
- Mainnet – The production network where transactions involve real value.
- Testnet – A safe environment designed for experimentation and testing with no real assets at risk.
Both environments can be accessed using an EVM-compatible wallet such as MetaMask.
Testnet
The Testnet serves as a simulation layer that mirrors the behavior of Mainnet while isolating developers and users from financial risk. Key purposes include:
- Testing smart contracts and dApps before deployment.
- Experimenting with ecosystem functionality under realistic conditions.
- Debugging and troubleshooting in a low-risk environment.
Testnet Unit1
In addition to the standard Testnet, Testnet Unit1 was launched as a proof-of-concept network. It demonstrates Unit Zero’s capacity to:
- Show that a single Layer 0 (L0) network can support multiple Layer 1 (L1) blockchains.
- Push scalability tests beyond the current limits of Mainnet.
- Serve as a sandbox for developers exploring next-generation multi-chain architectures.
The Unit Zero Testnets provide developers and users with robust environments for experimentation, validation, and scalability testing, ensuring a smooth path to Mainnet deployment.
