Core currently supports two testnets: Testnet1 and Testnet2. Testnet2 is the latest and recommended version for all development and testing activities.
Testnet1 (Deprecated)
This older testnet version is still functional but will be phased out.

- Chain ID: 1115
- Currency Symbol: tCORE
- Block Explorer: https://scan.test.btcs.network
- Staking Site: https://stake.test.btcs.network
- Note: Does not support BTC Testnet4
Testnet2 (Recommended)
Core’s latest and most up-to-date testnet.
- Network Name: Core Blockchain TestNet
- RPC URL: https://rpc.test2.btcs.network
- Chain ID: 1114
- Currency Symbol: tCORE2
- Block Explorer: https://scan.test2.btcs.network
- Staking Site: https://stake.test2.btcs.network
- Supports: BTC Testnet4 for self-custodial staking
All developers and testers should switch to Testnet2 (1114) to access the latest features and ensure ongoing compatibility. Testnet1 (1115) will soon be deprecated and eventually retired.
